November Clothing Drive – Sorting & Organizing Crew
November 1–22 | Flexible Hours
Oak Grove Community Closet has an ongoing Sorting & Organizing Team, but during our November Clothing Drive, we expect an increase in incoming donations and need additional volunteers to help us keep everything moving!
From November 1–22, we are looking for a rotating crew to help process clothing and shoe donations in Container 3. Hours are flexible, and volunteers can help based on their availability. You do not have to commit to the entire three-week period.
Positions Available:
- Sorting & Organizing Lead — 18+
- Sorting & Organizing Co-Lead — 18+
- Sorting & Organizing Volunteers — 16+
What You'll Help With:
- Sort, organize, and hang incoming donations.
- Organize clothing and shoes by section and size.
- Keep Container 3 clean and organized.
- Help process the increased donations received during the November Clothing Drive.
- Keep inventory event-ready so we're prepared for future distributions.
- Work with the Bin Collection Crew to make sure incoming donations are processed efficiently.
Flexible Schedule:
Volunteer when your schedule allows during November 1–22. Our goal is to build a rotating team so donations are processed regularly throughout the drive rather than piling up.
Container Access:
Volunteers ages 16–17 may participate in sorting while an authorized adult is present. Independent container access is limited to authorized volunteers 18+ who have completed the Container Access Agreement.
This is a special November Clothing Drive opportunity. Volunteers interested in helping with sorting throughout the year can also register for our ongoing Sorting & Organizing Team opportunity.
