Description

The Gloucester Daffodil Festival has been a cherished tradition for over 40 years! We are looking for an Art Contest Coordinator to lead the art competition for our annual poster contest. The Art Contest Coordinator works year round, averaging 2 hours per month, to support the contest up until the festival in April. Duties include: 

  • Share information with local schools, galleries, and artist to increase awareness of the program
  • Assist in identifying and coordinating judges to review the art work and select the poster winner 
  • Work one Saturday in January to collect original art at the Gloucester Library and install art on hanging displays 
  • Transport art to Gloucester Point Branch  
  • Provide brief remarks at the Art Unveiling Event in March 
  • Oversee volunteers selling the art posters at the two-day Daffodil Festival 

This position will have support from a team of three staff members at Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism. We are flexible to take your creative ideas to make this program your own and help it grow!
