Support day-to-day operations at The Haven’s Administrative Office by serving as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, donors, and callers. This role helps ensure smooth communication and a positive experience for community members connecting with The Haven.
*All volunteers must complete a 1.5hr training and shadowing process prior to beginning independent shifts.
**This is an episodic opportunity, with scheduling on an as-needed basis
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Respond to basic inquiries and transfer calls to the appropriate staff member
- Greet visitors and answer the door to receive donations and deliveries
- Assist with occasional administrative tasks, including use of office equipment (e.g., printer, copier)
- Maintain a welcoming, calm, and respectful office environment
Schedule & Environment
- Shifts are primarily weekdays 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, with occasional 1:00 PM–5:00 PM availability
- This is an episodic opportunity, with scheduling based on organizational needs
- Daily activity levels may vary; volunteers are encouraged to bring a book or quiet activity for slower periods
