Join “Team Garfield’s” by Volunteering at Garfield’s Rescue “Cat Cottage” in Weems. Laugh with us, cry with us, play with us while giving abandoned cats and kittens a 2nd chance at life through our compassionate care.
Tasks include the cleaning and sanitization of cat crates and condos, litter boxes, and 2-story living areas that prevents the spread of disease among our cat population. Launder cat beds and linens; load dishes in dishwasher and put away; administer daily medications; daily feeding and providing fresh water. Provide socialization and comfort to cats and kittens inside Cottage. Keep cleaning supplies and food supplies unpacked at delivery and food and sanitation containers and tubs filled, reporting outages. Garfield’s also has a small outdoor cat colony on site requiring daily feeding, fresh water and care. The feeder and shelters require cleaning and sanitization, and the laundering of outside beds and linens. Volunteers work in teams of two, sometimes three, as we have an upstairs, downstairs, and small outside cat area to care for.
Much to do! We have a morning shift and an afternoon shift, 7 days a week. Select the day and shift that fits your schedule.
