The Volunteer Hospitality Team helps create a welcoming and encouraging environment for the incredible volunteers who serve with Oak Grove Community Closet. This team prepares and maintains the volunteer hospitality area by providing refreshments, snacks, and a comfortable space where volunteers can take a break, recharge, and feel appreciated throughout the event.
If you enjoy serving others through hospitality and acts of kindness, this is a wonderful opportunity to support those who are making a difference in our community.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up the volunteer hospitality area before volunteers arrive.
- Prepare and serve refreshments, snacks, and beverages for volunteers.
- Keep food and drink stations clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the event.
- Monitor supplies and restock refreshments as needed.
- Welcome volunteers to the hospitality area and help create a warm, encouraging atmosphere.
- Check in on volunteer teams throughout the event to ensure they have water, snacks, and any needed support.
- Help keep the hospitality area clean and sanitized.
- Assist with packing up and cleaning the hospitality area at the end of the event.
- Notify event leadership if additional refreshments or supplies are needed.
Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting as needed.
- Comfortable preparing and handling individually packaged refreshments and beverages while maintaining cleanliness.
- Enjoys encouraging and supporting others behind the scenes.
Time Commitment:
- Available for individual event days or as an ongoing volunteer to help support multiple Oak Grove Community Closet events.
