Keep the event moving behind the scenes!
The Mission Movers Team plays a vital role in making sure every volunteer station stays stocked and every family receives the items they need. Team members transport clothing, shoes, backpacks, and supplies throughout the event, assist with loading vehicles, and respond wherever extra hands are needed.
This is a great role for volunteers who enjoy staying active and working as part of a team.
Responsibilities include:
- Move clothing, shoes, backpacks, and supplies from storage areas to volunteer stations.
- Restock tables and distribution areas throughout the event.
- Assist volunteers with transporting donations and equipment as needed.
- Help guests carry bags and larger items to their vehicles.
- Respond to requests for assistance from event coordinators and other volunteer teams.
- Keep walkways and supply areas organized and free of hazards.
- Assist with moving tables, bins, and other equipment before, during, and after the event as needed.
Requirements:
- Ages 8 and older (children under 16 must volunteer with a parent or guardian).
- Ability to walk throughout the event and perform light to moderate lifting.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to jump in wherever help is needed.
