This culinary program teaches participants the basics of how to cook using fresh herbs from their garden. During her program, Mrs. Weisensale:
- Identifies popular culinary herbs and reviews their most common cooking usages
- Provides a demonstration of her favorite tools for working with fresh herbs in the kitchen
- Discusses how to store and preserve fresh herbs from the garden
- Facilitates a hands-on session in the TMB kitchen where each participant makes their own herbal butter to take home and enjoy; all ingredients and kitchen tools are provided
- Facilitates an “herbal tasting” with samples of some of her favorite herbal dishes, both savory and sweet; recipes are provided
It is Mrs. Weisensale’s sincerest hope that this program inspires participants to begin cooking, or cooking even more, with fresh herbs!
