Description

This culinary program teaches participants the basics of how to cook using fresh herbs from their garden.  During her program, Mrs. Weisensale:

  • Identifies popular culinary herbs and reviews their most common cooking usages
  • Provides a demonstration of her favorite tools for working with fresh herbs in the kitchen
  • Discusses how to store and preserve fresh herbs from the garden
  • Facilitates a hands-on session in the TMB kitchen where each participant makes their own herbal butter to take home and enjoy; all ingredients and kitchen tools are provided
  • Facilitates an “herbal tasting” with samples of some of her favorite herbal dishes, both savory and sweet; recipes are provided

It is Mrs. Weisensale’s sincerest hope that this program inspires participants to begin cooking, or cooking even more, with fresh herbs!

  • Class fee:  $40
  • Hours: 1 to 3 PM
  • Maximum of 8 students
  • All supplies provided.
  • This class will be held in the TMB, directly behind the RHHT building.
