Description

On behalf of the Lancaster Northumberland Habitat for Humanity affiliate, I warmly invite you to join us for the groundbreaking of our 23rd Habitat home on April 25th at 2:00 PM at Lewis Lane in Heathsville (weather permitting).

This milestone marks the beginning of construction on a safe, affordable home for a local family—and it represents the power of our community coming together to create lasting opportunity.

This event will also celebrate our affiliate’s participation in the Virginia River Counties Global Volunteer Month initiative, recognizing the volunteers whose time, talent, and generosity make Habitat’s work possible.

In addition to the ceremonial first shovel of dirt, guests will have the opportunity to learn how they can be part of building House 23. Information will be available on how individuals, businesses, civic groups, and faith communities can join our Habitat Construction Crew, when volunteer building days will begin, and who to contact to sign up.

Whether you are interested in volunteering, partnering with us, or supporting the build through a financial contribution, we hope this event will inspire you to be part of the effort that turns a house into a home.

Please RSVP by April 20th. If you are unable to attend, we would still be grateful for the opportunity to share updates on the progress of House 23 and ways you can remain involved, so be sure to "fan" our organization page on  Volunteer River Counties.

Thank you for helping us build homes, community, and hope. We look forward to celebrating this important moment with you.
