River Counties Community Foundation

Since 1996, River Counties Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, serves donors and builds philanthropic capital that supports current and future needs of Lancaster, Middlesex, and Northumberland counties. We make giving simple, flexible, and cost-effective; ensure that the charitable intent of our donors will be met in perpetuity; and serve as effective stewards of our philanthropic assets.

River Counties Community Foundation was established in 1996 to enhance the quality of life in Lancaster, Middlesex, and Northumberland Counties through philanthropy. We are governed by a local advisory board which oversees the allocation of funds to local nonprofits with the most clearly defined needs, and the ones with the ability to best impact the lives of our residents.
