Who We Are
The TriWay Trail is a public/private partnership between Lancaster County and the TriWay Trail Board.
This open space will be a free shared community treasure designed for everyone to enjoy nature, exercise, and community gatherings, promoting better health for residents and visitors.
Your new route to everyday destinations — from schools to shopping centers, local restaurants, unique shops, and sporting venues, including county schools, Rappahannock General Hospital, Northern Neck-Middlesex Free Health Clinic, and Compass Entertainment Complex, to name a few.
Designed with safety and tranquility in mind, the TriWay Trail will provide safe travel, avoiding highly trafficked thoroughfares so that residents and visitors can enjoy a quiet, peaceful walk with nature.
What We Do
The TriWay will act as a unifying component, bringing together diverse perspectives of the residents of the Northern Neck.
The trail itself will bridge gaps between communities and facilitate access to open space, restaurants, schools and town centers and a greater sense of regional connectedness and cohesion.
With more people biking and walking to these destinations in Lancaster County, we will also see the TriWay contributing to a healthier population in the Northern Neck, encouraging free and accessible recreation and exercise opportunities.
The TriWay will provide a place for recreation, exercise and expanded transportation options that will increase livability and attract more residents to the region.
The TriWay will be a main driver for revitalizing the economy of Lancaster County, bringing new businesses, residents and visitors to the community.
The TriWay will be a living story telling route that will highlight the history and culture of our unique region and the people who built our community. Bay Artists and local history will be featured along parts of the TriWay Trail.
