Who We Are

  • The TriWay Trail is a public-private partnership between Lancaster County and the TriWay Trail Board. We need volunteers to walk the trail, report any issues, and help with trail events.

  • The current trail is approximately 2 miles long, but we will be building a total of 10 miles. This new open space will be a free shared community treasure.

  • The ten-mile trail, when completed, will provide a new route to everyday destinations — from schools and shopping centers to local restaurants, unique shops, and sporting venues, including county schools, Rappahannock General Hospital, Northern Neck-Middlesex Free Health Clinic, and Compass Entertainment Complex, to name a few.

  • Designed with safety and tranquility in mind, the TriWay Trail will provide safe travel, avoiding highly trafficked thoroughfares, so residents and visitors can enjoy a quiet, peaceful walk in nature.

Please join us in this worthy effort:

       Connecting People and Places!

What We Do

We are building a new community biking and walking path that will be free for all to use. The TriWay Trail will be designed not just to connect towns, but also to promote wellness, provide a safe route for travel, and connect people to the county's most-traveled assets, including schools and medical facilities.

We recognize that this project is ambitious. But with your help, we can make it happen!
