Welcome back to the fun! Come help us create a unique experience that the Northern Neck has deemed a fall fan favorite: Pumpkins Illuminated & Conservation Craft Festival.

Volunteers will help with guiding visitors to various stations and clearing any debris that may arise in this outdoor museum adventure. Kayak launch assistance may also be needed during the day.

What to Expect: 

-This is an outdoor event. Proper attire for the weather should be considered (hats, gloves, closed toe shoes, pants, jackets, long sleeve shirts).

-Volunteers will be assisting guests who range from infant to senior. 

-Volunteers will be assisting vendors during the day at the Conservation & Craft Festival, but if they choose to stay for Pumpkins Illuminated, they will be in very low lighted areas.

-Volunteers should wear blue or black polo with khaki pants and comfortable shoes. CROCS are not suitable for this event.

This event is a celebration of life that hosts over 100 of the descendants of Menokin's enslaved community.

We are always in need of volunteers on game days to help in a variety of ways. Qualifications:

A love of food prep, cooking and/or meal planning.Organizational skills for coordinating and communicating with team members.Ability to deliver and set up food at event location.

Responsibilities:

Provide homemade or store-bought food for events throughout the year.Deliver food and arrange attractively prior to the event.Identify beverage servers as required and flower arrangers when desired. Minimize amounts of leftover food.Make sure the Bayne Center kitchen is clean after each event and all items are stored appropriately.

Time Commitment:

Typically 11-12 events per year, but not all volunteers are needed for each one.Set-up and cleanup are 1-2 hours each for each event.

Training and Support:
