Volunteer: Children's Activities VolunteersWhat you’ll do: Supervise and engage with kids during structured and free playtime. Assist in organizing and running games, crafts and educational activities. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive space for kids to grow and explore. Support program staff and contribute to event setup and/or cleanup. What we’re looking for: Volunteers to assist with children's activities a few times month or occasionally as your schedules permit. Reliability, energy, and a warm heart. No special experience needed—just your willingness to help in a fun, welcoming environment. If you can give an hour or a full afternoon, your time means the world to us. Join our team and be part of something truly special. Whether it's leading games, crafting imaginative art projects, reading stories, or simply offering a helping hand, your presence will help create memorable moments that children and their families will treasure. The Deltaville Maritime Museum is seeking a dedicated volunteer to help care for the Explorer, our full-scale replica of Captain John Smith’s shallop used during his 1608 exploration of the Chesapeake Bay. This is a unique opportunity to preserve a living piece of maritime heritage and share its story with visitors. Perform routine upkeep and cleaning of the Explorer. Monitor the vessel for signs of wear, weather damage, or needed repairs. Assist with minor maintenance tasks (e.g., oiling wood, checking lines, clearing debris) Coordinate with museum staff for larger restoration needs. Engage with visitors to share the history and significance of the boat. Volunteer: Cleaning Ovens (3) - Pavilion KitchenWe periodically need volunteers to clean specific equipment in the kitchen service area. We hosted the Taste of Middlesex Festival this past weekend, and we currently need help with cleaning three ovens. Two of the ovens are convection, one is gas. If anyone or any group can give a couple hours here and there to clean these three ovens, that would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please reach out.
