Description

Northern Neck CASA is seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to make a difference in the life of a child. CASA Advocates work with children and teens in the abuse and neglect system. CASA volunteers are appointed to be a voice for a child in court. Advocates gather information, meet with children and families, and report their findings. They can be a steady presence for child during a tumultuous time. To learn more about becoming a CASA advocate, contact us at info@nncasa.com or at 804-462-0881. Volunteers must pass a background check and participate in 40 hours of pre-service training. Volunteers will visit a variety of locations, including the child's home, school, the homes of caregivers, and the courthouse for hearings.
