During the month of January, the museum & office close for an annual "refresh".
We need volunteers to help with the following:
Clean Museum
- General Cleaning
- Cleaning Exhibits
- Windows: inside & out
Exhibits
- Careful Cleaning/Dusting
- Check each item in each exhibit and make sure there are I.D. numbers.
- Assist with changing/moving exhibits when necessary as available
Gift Shop
- Strip & clean physical area and related cabinets.
- Inventory & reset
Library
- Clean/dust top to bottom
- Reshelve books that are out of order.
Reception
- Strip & clean physical area
- Printout finalized information for front end notebooks
- Reorganize related front end cabinets
Pavilion Area
- Deep Clean physical area
- Deep clean stoves & cooking stations
- Deep clean walk-in and other refrigerated areas
Stage Door
- Strip & clean physical area interior
- Rake & clear around exterior
Tea House
- Strip & clean physical area interior
- Rake & clear around exterior
- Additional note: Needs scrape, sand & paint of windows in Spring. Please let us know if you can help with this when weather gets warmer
