In this introductory class, students will learn the basic strokes and letter forms of the Gothic font. As a goal, students will learn how to write their full name in Gothic Calligraphy. The instructor will also introduce appropriate pens and paper types for successful calligraphy. There will be time for practice of these new skills.
Jackson Thorn has been practicing calligraphy for about 10 years and has previously taught this introductory calligraphy class at the Northumberland library.
Class hours: 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
2. The maximum number of students for the class will be 20.
3. The fee for this class is $40.
4. A supply fee of $10 will be collected by the instructor.
5. Students will need to bring a ruler and a pencil. All other equipment will be provided for the supply fee.
