Who We Are
River Roots Discovery Gardens© is creating a new network of native plant public gardens inspired by beloved Northern Neck land- and water-scapes, and the plants and creatures--including people!--that inhabit them.
Our mission to celebrate and ensure these treasures last will come alive through the garden's focus on community, education, and conservation.
Our first garden in the planning stage is located on 14 acres behind the new Lancaster County Public Schools middle/high school building on Irvington Road in Lancaster County, VA.
What We Do
Our mission: To deepen people-place connections that inspire care for nature through community, education, and conservation.
We advance our mission through experiences, programs, and interpretation at both designed and wild landscape sites and through collaborative partnerships.
