Quick Start Guide on How to Use the Hub:

Click “Volunteer Now” to browse available opportunities!

You can filter opportunities by using the filter tool on the right side and selecting filters like “date,” “family friendly,” or location.

When you choose the criteria you wish to filter by, you will then have a second drop-down window appear.

You then must choose which option you want to search.

When you've chosen your search criteria, click on the "search" button.

When you’ve found an opportunity you’re interested in, click “View Details.”

If you decide you would like to follow up on the opportunity, you can either reach out to the organization directly to sign up, or click “Respond” to sign up through the Hub.

Tips for New Users

  • If the Hub is not loading properly or you cannot access parts of the site, try changing your internet browser. The Hub works best when viewed on Google Chrome or Firefox browsers. If accessing the site from work or other public computer, be aware that firewalls and spam filters may affect your interaction with the site.

  • For the best user experience, create an account. You will have an individual profile to match with nonprofits looking for volunteer assistance. You do NOT have to create an account or log in to use the site. Feel free to browse and find information about the array of volunteer opportunities available with organizations in your community.

  • Click on the blue spotlight links for more details on specific types of opportunities and upcoming community-wide initiatives, like the September Launch Calendar, Board Opportunities, or In-Kind Donations.

Need help signing up for an opportunity?

When you find a volunteer position you are interested in, you have two choices:

  • Click on the “Respond” button. This will require you to set up an account or log in, if you already have one. Your interest and other information will be transmitted through the Hub to the volunteer manager at the organization you have selected;

  • OR Use the contact information provided in the listing to initiate contact through your preferred mode of communication: phone, email, website form link, etc.
